Rents are quoted per square metre per month and vary mainly by location and quality. The historic centre and prime waterfront addresses sit at the top of the range, while suburban and industrial-conversion space is markedly cheaper.
Remember to budget for service charges (drift) on top of the base rent, plus a deposit of three to six months. Fitted space costs more up front but saves on works; shell-and-core is cheaper but needs a fit-out.
